Recently in the past view years the DEC has put limits on certian fish some dont have any at all and some fish you cant even keep during spawning season and some you can.

yellow pearch 50 per person

sun fish 50 per person

thats only a view that have limits on them almost every fish in NY have a limit. And if they didnt do this then people would be cathing haunders and certain fish would go exstence. And certin fish have a certain size you have to have to keep and if that fish doesnt go up to thst size then is has to be let go. If you do keep a fish that is under or over your limit then you will pay a fine. And you will lose your license for that fiahing year.

and most of the time if you are from mexico then they will give you a warning because they dont know the laws in the U.S.

And also its allegal to sell fish in the U.S. to other people and you cant get into alot of trouble from that. the biggest thing people get cought for is either not having a fishing linces or cathcing over their limit and you do have to pay fines for both of them and yet the fines are not light either at all.

A way the DEC of New York that have limited the way that people of NY dont shoot as much ducks as the years past is the dates and limits of NY. For 2019-2020 the dates from last season have been changed so much they have and reduced.
